About our company
Who we are
Brown and Ralph Limited is a building restoration, carpentry and stonemasonry contractor specialising in working on historic and listed building structures across the country from our base just outside Cambridge.
We have a team of expert traditional craftspeople including stonemasons, carpenters, bricklayers, conservators and stone cleaners. Between them they have vast experience of working with traditional materials on buildings ranging from Scheduled Monuments to Cambridge Colleges, as well as the odd quirky folly.
Experience
The company was set up by former Directors of Rattee 
and Kett, Andrew Brown and Stephen Ralph who between them have worked on some of the country’s finest buildings, winning numerous awards for delivering quality projects to delighted clients along the way. Whilst we primarily act as a Principal Contractor, with 70 years combined experience in this specialist sector, we have the technical expertise to assist in all aspects of a project from the early stages of design onwards.
