We recently undertook a large scale refurbishment of 17 Mill Lane Cambridge – acting as principal contractor for our client The University of Cambridge.
The works involved the renewal of the roof coverings, sensitive carpentry repairs to the existing roof structure, installation of a new fall arrest system to the roof, the removal of old plant and ventilation equipment from the roof, asbestos removal, extensive internal refurbishment including new WC’s, office fit-out work (decorations and carpet tiles), services upgrades including fire alarm package, cast guttering and downpipe replacements, and some window replacement works.
This was a highly sensitive and challenging project, which was completed successfully working in close collaboration with the building users. The scheme lasted 1.5 years – with completion achieved in 2025.
