The project revolved around the replacing of the copperwork to the   Founders Entrance dome. The existing covering had run its course and was showing signs of failure. The works also allowed for introducing measured natural ventilation to aid humidity control, and a complete glass removal, cleaning and replacement process was under-taken. New segmental sheets of glass were manufactured to replace the existing damaged panes, and the dome redecorated.

In parallel, a phase of conservation to the ornate internal plaster was carried out, from survey through repair and decoration.
