Landwades Hall Gatehouses

We were commissioned by the Animal Health Trust to carry out repair works to 2 ornate chimney stacks to the East and West Gatehouses to Landwades Hall. The work consisted of carefully raking out the existing hard cement pointing that had been used for earlier repair work, sourcing matching bricks to carry out repairs and repointing in lime mortar. The finished result not only looks good but with the new lime mortar the bricks will be able to do their job properly allowing moisture to pass through the mortar joint into the atmosphere without causing damage to the brickwork
