Bartlow Park Teak House

We were asked by the client if this Edwardian Greenhouse could be saved. On close inspection, under the broken glass and weathered surfaces and to the delight of the client we could confirm that the general condition of the Teak structure was in good condition and could be saved. We were happy to take on this exciting project. A scaffold and temporary roof were erected to allow the structure to be de-glazed and cleaned. A full assessment of the structure was carried out initially. Careful repair has been carried out, not only to the Teak structure but also to the ornate cast steel work, opening mechanisms and brickwork supporting walls . Completely re-glazed using traditional Linseed Oil putty with a curved lower edge in traditional style the Greenhouse has been returned to its former glory and will last for many years for the owners to enjoy.
